Operation Analyst (OA) bootcamp

 Date :  Oct-Dec 2016

This boot camp is an intensive in-house program that spans 6 weeks and was provided to four employees, two from King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and two from Boeing. The boot camp focused on operations analysis studies and tools in the modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) field. The aim of this training course is to establish a solid knowledge base that enables operation analysts (OAs) to conduct their studies professionally and comprehensively.

This training was provided by Boeing, and it was mainly based on Boeing MS&A tools. It started with Boeing’s nomenclature and definitions, as well as with defining what they mean by operation analysis and the role of an OA in experimentation development. Following this overview were technical sessions that were more thorough, with hands-on training in force structure analysis tools, constructive simulation tools, and analysis for simulation environment tools.

The training concluded with two case studies in defense experimentation, the Multi-National Integrated Systems Assessment (MNISA) Air Study and the MNISA Land Study, allowing the trainees to link real studies to what they learned during the course.
