Maram Alalwan

Maram Hassan Al-Alwan is an academic researcher at the Decision Support Center (DSC), one of the Joint Centers of Excellence Program established in partnership with Boeing. In this role, she is conducting applied research in the defense and security fields and developing advanced tools for modeling, simulation, and analysis for decision support systems and services. In addition, she is managing the E-Services department in the center.

Al-Alwan is currently appointed Head of the Women Role-Enhancement Program at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST)—along with her position in the DSC—to support women’s participation in all projects, activities, and initiatives to encourage innovation.

Prior, she held the position of scientific researcher at the General Directorate of Information and the General Directorate of Research Grant at KACST. Al-Alwan joined KACST in 2010 with 5 years’ experience in data and project management at Riyad Bank.

Al-Alwan Holds a MS degree in Computer Science from King Saud University. In addition, she is a Certified Consultant in Cultural Transformation Tools (CTT). Al-Alwan is a passionate researcher who has published a number of papers. Moreover, she is a member of the IEEE Saudi Arabia Section Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity group Riyadh.
